The recordings that make up the Cascadia EP were written in the span of six weeks in the winter of 2021 on one of the few remaining vintage Buchla 200 systems in the world. Additional instrumentation was provide by a Buchla Music Easel, Roland D-50 and an EMT 140 Plate Reverb.

These are live, one-take recordings in their undiluted form, reproduced from 8-track tape with zero additional processing.

The Cascadia EP is a tribute.

My alma mater The Evergreen State College, Ben Kamen, Patrick LaBahn, Cynthia Kennedy, Terry Setter, Shannon Stewart and all the faculty, staff, administration and students at one of the most unique educational institutions in the world. This is for you.
